GUNMEN KILL ADMISSION SEEKER, RAZE PALACE IN OSUN STATE
Gunmen have killed an admission seeker identified as Ibrahim Qudus and set his corpse ablaze in a car in Okanla community, Irepodun LGA, Osun State.
The information available indicates that the gunmen numbering about 20 bearing arms on 17th September 2023 stormed the house of one Prince Jimoh Qadri, who was their target. Unfortunately, he was not found at home and instead vandalised his house.
Thereafter, they proceeded to his family house used as a Palace by his late father the Olokanla of Okanla. On getting there, they saw his cousin, a 27-year-old, kill and set him ablaze.
However, it was noted that the communal crisis between the Ifon and Ilobu communities over land dispute triggered the attack.
Meanwhile, police have restored peace in the communities while they are on manhunt for the perpetrators of the crime.
