MAN REMANDED OVER ALLEGED DEFILEMENT OF 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL
One Musa Usman has been remanded into Kirikiri Correctional Centre by the Ikeja Magistrate’s Court over the defilement alleged of a 10-year-old girl.
The convict who lives at No. 32, Ishola Yusuf St., Iloro, Agege, Lagos State, was said to have committed the crime sometime in December 2023 at his residence.
The prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi alleged that the defendant defiled his neighbour's daughter (name withheld) by having unlawful sexual intercourse with her which contravenes Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
Meanwhile, The Chief Magistrate, Ejiro Kubeinje, who withdrew the plea of the defendant on January 8th 2024, ordered that the case file should be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice while the case has been adjourned until Feb. 6 pending the DPP’s advice.
