NSCDC FCT Command Foils Vandalism Plot, Intercepts Truck of Stolen Metals
Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command has intensified efforts to combat vandalism and safeguard Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, successfully intercepting a truck loaded with stolen scrap metal and other vandalized items.
The operation, which led to the arrest of suspects, was carried out by the NSCDC’s intelligence personnel and the tactical team of the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Department during a routine night patrol.
FCT Commandant, Dr. Olusola Odumosu, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting national infrastructure, describing it as a shared national heritage. He assured the Federal Government, FCT administration, and residents of sustained efforts to eliminate vandalism and criminal activities within the territory.
“Our fight against vandals, scavengers, and other saboteurs will continue until these criminal elements are completely eradicated from the FCT,” Odumosu declared. He also announced that the FCT is now a “no-go” area for vandals and criminals who exploit the cover of darkness to perpetrate their activities.
The NSCDC FCT Command emphasized its determination to create a safer environment for all residents, pledging unrelenting vigilance and proactive measures to ensure public safety and the protection of critical infrastructure.
