POLICE ARREST 13 SUSPECTS OVER ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES IN EDO STATE
The operatives of Edo State Police Command arrested 13 suspects over illegal activities ranging from armed robbery to cultism.
Following the arrest, One of the suspects identified as Emeka Ogwu, 27 was arrested while he and his gang were allegedly vandalizing armoured cable belonging to BEDC in their community while his accomplices escaped.
The armoured cable cut into sizable pieces was recovered from the suspects.
Similarly, the Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit arrested 12 suspected members of Eiye Confraternity at Uza Street, Esigie, Benin.
The suspects were arrested where they converge for a clandestine meeting on how to attack a rival secret cult while others escaped.
The arrested suspects include Ama Success (19), Odion Sunday (23), Elinana Omon (23), Famous Prosper (23), Joseph Ikehinde (22), Junior Uwadia (22) Cyrillic Omonhe (20), Charles Friday (30), Uyi Ewansiha (33), Ibrahim Abdulmalik (22), Uyi Okogiewe (19); and Ogbonna Maduabuchi (30).
