VOTE US OUT IN 2023 IF YOU ARE TIRED OF OUR FACES- SENATE PRESIDENT AHMAD LAWAN TELL NIGERIANS
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan on Friday challenged Nigerians not happy with the lawmakers in the current 9th Senate to vote them out in 2023 if they do not like seeing their faces.
Senator Lawan stated this at a retreat for top management staff of the National Assembly and National Assembly Commission in Abuja.
Addressing the issue of jumbo pay for senators, Lawan said the annual budget of the National Assembly is less than one per cent of the nation’s budget, stressing that there would be anarchy if the Senate is scrapped.
The Senate President pointed out that representatives from all parts of the country are equally represented in the Senate.
The Nigeria Senate consists of 109 elected senators from the 36 states in the country.
