POLICE ARREST CORPS MEMBER FOR RAPE CRIME IN OGUN STATE
The Operatives of Ogun State Police Command on 12th May 2023 arrested a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), identified as Adebola Sodiq, for raping a 20-year-old girl at Owode Egba, Obafemi Owode LGA, Ogun State.
The information available indicates that the suspect enticed the victim under the pretense of buying her a gift in commemoration of her belated birthday, dragged her into the room, and unlawfully had canal knowledge with her.
Consequently, the suspect while he was interrogated confessed to having committed the crime under an unstable canal mind.
Meanwhile, the victim has been taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
