POLICE ARREST MAN FOR ALLEGED HOMOSEXUALITY IN OSHODI AREA OF LAGOS STATE
The Lagos State Police command has arrested a certain Jane Otubo, a foodstuff trader from Enugu State for alleged homosexuality in Mafoluku area, Oshodi, Lagos State.
According to a statement released by the State's Police PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the suspect had invited a certain Francis Azeez, who lives in Gwagwalada area of Abuja, to his place in Mafoluku, Lagos State, pledging to assist him establish a business.
Jane Otubo however made efforts to assault and molest Francis Azeez who had spent one week with him in his residence.
The Police PRO revealed the invitee, who resisted the rapist, made efforts to escape to Abuja when he was molested severally by Otubo.
This attracted the neighbors' attention who eventually informed the Police. The suspect's landlord, popularly called Alfa, also revealed that Otubo had been consistently molesting people.
Similarly, security personnel attached to Ago Okota Division of the command arrested a serial rapist identified as Onuorah Obi after his victim reported that the suspect raped her and recorded her nude pictures and videos.
The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, who condemned these criminal acts, ordered that the cases be transferred to the Gender Unit of the command for further investigation and prosecution.
Recall that the Police boss vowed not to tolerate any form of criminality in Lagos State this year.
