POLICE ARREST MAN OVER RAPE AND ROBBERY IN LAGOS
The operatives of Lagos State Police Command on 30th May 2023 at about 0900hrs arrested one Olumide Oyewole, 28-year-old, over the alleged rape and robbery of a woman in her apartment in the Ilasan area, Lekki, Lagos State.
The information available indicates that the suspect who masked his face and had a knife in his possession on Monday 29th May 2023 at about 2000hrs allegedly forced himself into the room of the victim identified as Cynthia. Then tied her with rope and had carnal knowledge with her at knifepoint.
Consequently, after his lustful deed, he carted away an iPhone 12 Promax, one Samsung S9, one small Nokia phone; two bottles of perfume, two wristwatches, one necklace, an iPhone charger, and $10, 000.
Thereafter, the victim reported the incident at the nearest police station.
The victim alongside the police operative went to the suspect’s house, arrested him, and recovered all the exhibits. The investigation is ongoing and the suspect will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.
