POLICE RESCUE KIDNAPPED ABUJA RESIDENTS
The operatives of Federal Capital Territory Police Command on 16th July, 2023 rescued two residents following their kidnap by bandits in Mpape community, Abuja.
The information available indicates that the bandits of about seven invaded the community around 0100hr, shooting sporadically to scare the residents and carry out their evil activities.
Consequently, the produced sound from the shooting woke the residents in the community and they put a distress call straight to the police operatives.
Upon receiving the distress call, operatives swung into action and tracked the bandits down at a corner where they engaged in a gun duel.
The kidnappers were overpowered, abandon their victims and flee into the bush.
Meanwhile, the operatives are making efforts to arrest the hoodlums.
