PANIC AS PETROL TANKER FALLS ON IGANMU BRIDGE, LAGOS
A tanker conveying 45,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol on Wednesday morning fell sideways on Iganmu bridge, Lagos State causing fears of a possible explosion.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, 3rd February 2021. The tanker with registration number KMC-60YD fell sideways while trying to make a turn on the bridge and spilled its content.
Eons Intelligence gathered that no casualty has been recorded as the men of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, alongside the State Fire Service and LASTMA are currently at the incident scene.
According to LASEMA, the spillage has been curtailed and blanketed while the content is currently being transloaded into an empty tanker.
