NSCDC ARRESTS BOKO HARAM’S APHRODISIAC SUPPLIER

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), on Thursday, June 11 arrested a suspected supplier of aphrodisiac to Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.


It was reported that the suspect, Bakunra Ibrahim, a 35-year-old man, supplied the sect's fuel and bags of fishing hooks and nets.


Ibrahim Abdullahi, the NSCDC Commandant, said Ibrahim was intercepted on June 9, around 10am, at Muna Garage along the Gomboru Ngala Road in an ash Peugeot 504 with number plate JJN77OBZ, where he concealed the exhibits. 


“Other items found with him are seven cartons of traditional medicine, 10 bags of fishing hooks and nets, one packet of herbal medicine and 25 packets of fishing nets and sex-enhancing herbs suspected to be supplied to Boko Haram terrorists,” Abdullahi said.


Abdullahi noted that the arrest of the supplier will limit rising attacks launched by the Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State.


Recall, On Tuesday, the insurgents launched a brutal attack on Faduma Koloram Village in Borno State, killing 69 villagers and stole over 1000 cattle.


Abdullahi emphasized that it is imperative to shut the logistics routes and economic base of the insurgents as it will help curtail rising attacks in the State.
