COVID-19 SITUATION REPORT AS OF MAY 21ST, 2020

Coronavirus cases in Nigeria now surpasses 7000 as 339 infections were discovered by the NCDC on May 21st, 2020. Total cases now 7016.



Number of Coronavirus victims in Lagos also surpasses 3000 as 139 persons carrying the virus were discovered on May 21st; total infections now 3093.


Lagos remains the epicenter of the Coronavirus Pandemic in Nigeria with the country's highest victims.(3093)



Kano and Oyo recorded 28 each. Oyo now surpasses Ogun state in number of cases. Oyo has a total of 190, Ogun has 183.



Asides Lagos, Oyo state is now the epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic in the South west.


Kano still number 2 in total Coronavirus cases recorded in the country. However, they discharged 40 patients (medical doctors) earlier yesterday.



1907 COVID-19 patients have been discharged across the 36 states of the federation including the FCT.


Death toll increases by 11 as total deaths now reach 211, from 200, as at May 21st.



Edo recorded 25 cases today. The FCT recorded 11. Rivers recorded just 1 as against the 26 they discovered on May 20th.



Anambra and Benue still has the fewest number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria with 5 each.



8 states (Taraba, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, Bayelsa, Abia, Benue, and Anambra) haven't recorded any Coronavirus death so far.
