Security forces rescue kidnap victim in Edo
Troops of the 322 Army Regiment, working alongside the Nigeria Police and local vigilantes, have rescued a kidnapped victim in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
According to Zagazola Makama, the operation was carried out at about 9:30 a.m. on September 7, 2026, following an encounter with suspected kidnappers near Juju Junction, behind Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
The security team reportedly engaged the suspects, forcing them to abandon the victim and flee the area.
The rescued victim was subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police for further action.
Security operatives are continuing efforts to locate the fleeing suspects and intensify operations against kidnapping and other criminal activities in the area.
