SUSPECTED MILITIAS INVADE, KILL CLERGYMAN, 20 OTHERS IN PLATEAU STATE
No fewer than 20 villagers and a clergyman were killed in an attack coordinated by militia in some villages in Riyom and Barkin Ladi LGA, Plateau State.
The information available indicates that the communities were attacked simultaneously on Sunday between 1400hrs and 1900hrs and had left many people with various degrees of injuries, while scores of people have been displaced.
About two persons were killed in Rim community, Seven in Jol community, and eleven in Kwi community, these communities were located in Riyom. while a clergyman, identified as Rev. Nicodemus Kim, a pastor of the Church of Christ in Nation was killed in Gana-Ropp Barkin Ladi.
Similarly, Kwi and Hei-gwe were completely razed and over 100 farmlands were destroyed.
