Ukraine hits logistics site deep inside Russia in latest long-range operation
Ukraine has reportedly carried out another long-range drone strike on a logistics facility in Russia’s Ryazan region, in what analysts describe as part of Kyiv’s ongoing efforts to disrupt infrastructure supporting Moscow’s military campaign.
The attack, reported on Wednesday, targeted a warehouse linked to Wildberries, Russia’s largest e-commerce company. Ukrainian officials have previously alleged that the company’s logistics network contributes to Russia’s wartime supply chain. Russian authorities confirmed a drone incident in the region but did not acknowledge any military relevance of the facility.
The operation follows a series of Ukrainian deep-strike missions targeting warehouses, fuel depots, industrial sites, railway infrastructure and transport facilities located far from the front lines.
Military analysts say the strikes are aimed at weakening Russia’s ability to maintain its combat operations by disrupting supply routes, increasing logistical challenges and compelling Moscow to deploy additional air defence resources to protect critical infrastructure.
Ukraine has increasingly expanded its long-range campaign beyond conventional military targets to include logistics and industrial facilities considered important to Russia’s defence ecosystem. The strategy seeks to hinder resupply operations, increase the cost of sustaining the war and create pressure on Moscow’s broader military infrastructure.
The reported strike in Ryazan highlights Ukraine’s growing long-range strike capabilities and its continued attempts to impose strategic costs deep within Russian territory, as logistics and supply networks remain a key factor shaping the direction of the conflict.
