YOBE POLICE INSPECTOR ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED MURDER
A police inspector in Yobe State, Mohammed Bulama, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 39-year-old man, Abdulmalik Dauda, to death over an unresolved transaction. The incident occurred on September 29, 2024, at the Zango Area in Damaturu, the state capital.
According to reports, Bulama and Dauda got into a heated argument that escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in Bulama stabbing Dauda in the chest . Bulama also sustained head injuries during the confrontation.
Yobe State Commissioner of Police, CP Garba Ahmed, has ordered an immediate investigation into the homicide incident and condemned Bulama's actions . Ahmed assured the public that the Nigeria Police Force will not tolerate misconduct from its personnel and promised a thorough and swift investigation to ensure justice is served.
Bulama is currently in custody pending internal disciplinary action and prosecution .
