BREAKING: BOKO HARAM/ISWAP INSURGENTS ARE PLANNING TO AMBUSH TRAVELLERS ENROUTE MONGUNO-BAGA
Intelligence reports have revealed that Boko Haram/ISWAP Insurgents are planning to ambush travellers en route Monguno and Baga on Sunday, October 4.
Security reports say Boko Haram/ISWAP Insurgents with about six vehicles were on spotted stopping and harassing vehicles along the Maiduru Monguno road on Saturday, October 3.
Sources first spotted the Insurgent at a location given as Berimari village searching vehicles along the route for state workers, military personnel, NGO workers and other non-Muslim targets using the road to travel.
Sources say the same ISWAP unit patrolling the Maiduguri-Monguno road was reported to have clashed with another loose jihadist group that was seen stopping and robbing travellers of their cash and other valuables along the same Monguno road.
Anyone travelling using the Maiduguri-Monguno-Baga road on Sunday, October 4, including military personnel, government personnel, and aid workers should be watchful and careful of possible ambush and attacks.
Also, there is a need for the military to clear Ali Gambori village and other hideouts of the group to establish a safe movement.
