LAGOS, ABUJA AIRPORTS TO RESUME INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS ON SEPTEMBER 5- NCAA

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced the resumption of international flights in the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Saturday, September 5. 


NCAA disclosed this on Wednesday, September 2 via a letter to all aviation stakeholders and foreign airlines operating in Nigeria.

Other International Airports in the country like the Mallam Aminu International Airport, Kano, and the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu would remain closed until a new resumption date is announced, the NCAA said. 


International flights in Nigeria were restricted in March as a measure to combat the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. 


The Federal government postponed its plan to open international airspace for commercial travels from August 27 to September 5.
