1 PERSON INFECTED 533 WORKERS WITH COVID-19 AT A FISH PROCESSING FACTORY IN GHANA, PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO SAY

One person infected 533 workers with COVID-19 at a fish processing plant located in Tema, Ghana, President Akufo-Addo disclosed while addressing the country on May 10, 2020.


The president, however, did not elaborate on measures taken to address the situation.


These infections are cases from backlogs as far back as 26th of April, Akufo-Addo clarified.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ghana is now 4700, with 494 recoveries and 22 deaths, according to Worldometer. 


Ghana has conducted a total of 160501 tests as at Sunday, May, 10.  


The country has administered more tests per million people than any other country in Africa, Akufo-Addo said.
