25-YEAR OLD ARRESTED FOR RAPING 70-YEAR OLD WOMAN
A 25 year old man identified as Bankole has been arrested for allegedly raping a 70 year old woman in Ogun State.
The incident happened on Tuesday at Abule Lemode area of Ijoko, Ifo Local Government Area (LGA), Ogun State.
The police spokesman, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed it in a statement in Abeokuta.
Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested on Wednesday following a report by the old woman at the Agbado Divisional Police Station.
Oyeyemi said the Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, had ordered the transfer of the suspect to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit, State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation.
The victim has been taken to the hospital for medical examination.
