71 SUSPECTS ARRAIGNED FOR LOOTING CACOVID PALLIATIVES IN KWARA

Kwara State police Command, on Tuesday, October 27, arraigned 71 suspects before an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court for their alleged involvement in the looting of CACOVID palliatives at Agro Mall and Cargo Terminal in Ilorin.


They were charged with criminal conspiracy, trespass, mischief, voluntarily causing grievous hurt, theft and disturbance of public peace and belonging to an armed robbery gang.


However, all the defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Magistrate Mohammed Ibrahim granted them bail in the sum of N200, 000 each and two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case until November 18 for further hearing.


Eons Intelligence recalls that the Kwara State police Command arrested 144 suspects for looting several malls in the State on October 26,2020. 


The looters were arrested after they attacked several malls in the State over the weekend, making away with various items.
