8 KILLED, HOUSES RAZED AS SUSPECTED HERDERS STORM BAYO COMMUNITY
At least 8 people are reportedly dead Following an attack by suspected herders in Nigeria North East of Borno, Bayo Local Government Area of the State.
Information available indicates that the attack was sequel to a clash between Farmers and herders over the encroachment of animals into the farmer's farmland which subsequently led to violence resulting to the death of 8, and others injured.
Security agencies were alerted and deployed in the affected area which subsequently caused the violence to cease.
Meanwhile, the Borno Commissioner Of Police, Abdu Umar, has summoned a peace meeting between Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association and the Farmers Associations, to resolve the perennial conflict.
