GUNMEN ATTACK OML 126 OIL BLOCK
Unknown gunmen have attacked the OML 126 oil block operated by ADDAX Petroleum Nigeria Limited and kidnapped personnel on board.
The attacked on the facility, formerly known as OPL 90, was perpetrated by the criminals at about 1 am on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
In a bid to successfully launch the attack, the perpetrators detonated explosives.
OML 126 is located 90 km offshore, south of Port Harcourt, in water depths ranging between 50 m and 210 m.
In September last year, OML 59 operated by Continental oil was attacked by gunmen who came in four speed boats.
