US ELECTIONS: MEDIA HOUSES SHUT OFF PRESIDENT TRUMP'S LIVE BROADCAST DUE TO 'LIES'

Several US News media outlets hurriedly cut off Donald Trump's live broadcast stating the President of America was spreading false information.

Donald Trump on Thursday night claimed that Democrats were using "illegal votes" to "steal" the election.

Recall that Donald Trump prematurely and illegally claimed victory of Tuesday's election when votes are still being counted—prompting protests in Arizona other States across the country.

The president also urged that votes counting should be stopped.

On Thursday night, during his first live address, Trump reeled out more unsubstantiated claims prompting MSNBC, NBC and ABC News to shut down the president's broadcast.

"OK, here we are again in the unusual position of not only interrupting the president of the United States but correcting the president of the United States," MSNBC anchor Brian Williams, said as the network shut off the presidential address.

Security experts say Trump's unsubstantiated claims about vote-rigging has begun to incite violence and put the lives of election officers at risk.

At about 10 pm US time, two men were detained in Philadelphia where vote counting was going on following security tip that an armed group was heading to the centre.

Responding to Donald Trump's allegation that the Democrats are "stealing votes" Joe Biden said in a tweet: "no one is going to take our democracy away from us. Not now, not ever."

The US, he continued, "has come too far, fought too many battles, and endured too much to let this happen."
