ABDUCTORS OF RIVERS STATE MONARCH RELEASE VIDEO WITH REASONS WHY HE WAS KIDNAPPED

The Abductors of the traditional ruler of Ikuru town, in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, King Aaron Miller, have released a video footage explaining reasons why the Monarch was kidnapped.

In a video that surfaced online, there were two masked gunmen with Ak-47 rifles in a forest standing behind the Monarch as he read their list of demands.

According to the note read by King Miller, the gunmen revealed they kidnapped the Monarch because the Chiefs and Elders of Andoni failed to sue for peace among rival groups in the community.

They said that the youths are not happy with the chiefs, elders and politicians in the area over their inability to provide employment for the jobless persons despite the oil wells located in the Community.

The kidnappers also demanded that the Government should provide equal opportunities to all residents of Andoni LGA without bias or political affiliation, put an end to indiscrimate arrest of youths and the unfortunate killings of residents in the area.

This comes one week after the Monarch regained freedom from the den of his captors. King Miller was rescued on March 28 by security operatives in a forest in Abissa community in Akuku Toru Local Council of the state, where he was held captive for five weeks.
