POLICE IN AKWA IBOM ARREST IMO JAILBREAK ESCAPEE
One of the escaped inmates from the Imo Jailbreak incident has been arrested in Akwa Ibom.
The escapee identified as David Victor Ubong of the Ibaka local government area was arrested in Akwa Ibom on Tuesday, a day after gunmen attacked the Owerri Correctional facility and set over 1800 free.
The Police Command in Akwa Ibom who disclosed this in a statement on Friday said Mr. Ubong confessed to being one of the inmates who escaped the Owerri jailbreak.

Mr. Ubong, who until his conviction was a resident of Obinze in Owerri would be sent back to face his jail term in Imo, the police spokesperson in Akwa Ibom, SP Odiko Macdon stated.

ADVISORY: Residents across the country must be extra vigilant and cautious of new faces within their neighbourhoods to avoid harbouring criminals.
Avoid flaunting display of wealth on social media and night travels to the east until the security situation improves in the country.
