GUNMEN ATTACK POLICE HEADQUARTERS IN OWERRI, FREE SEVERAL PRISONERS IN DETENTION

Eons Intelligence have gathered that gunmen attacked the police headquarters in Owerri, Imo State, and freed several inmates.


Sources say the attack occurred around 1am on Monday morning with the assailants shooting sporadically and razing down the police facility.


It was learnt that causalities were recorded during the attack but the number cannot be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.




Recall, on March 21, Eons Intelligence reported that gunmen set the Isiala Mbano Police Divisional Headquarters in Umuelemai, Imo State, ablaze, freeing suspects held in detention and also carting away arms.


There has been a rise in attack on police facilities security operatives in the South East in recent weeks.
