Acting GOC 7 Division Visits Frontline Troops of 151 and 152 Task Force Battalions, Assesses Combat Readiness and Boosts Morale

As part of ongoing operational engagements and leadership assessment, the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division and Commander, Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI, Brigadier General Ugochukwu Unachukwu, has paid a morale-boosting visit to frontline troops of 151 and 152 Task Force Battalions under the 21 Special Armoured Brigade.

The GOC visited key deployment locations including Banki Junction, Darel Jemel, Miyanti, Bula Yobe, Banki, and Forward Operating Base (FOB) Kumshe, as well as the 7 Division Boat Company stationed at Aloa Dam. His visit focused on evaluating combat readiness, inspecting deployed equipment, and engaging troops directly on the frontlines.

While addressing troops at FOB Kumshe, Brig. Gen. Unachukwu commended their bravery, discipline, and unwavering commitment in the ongoing fight against terrorism. He emphasized the need for continued professionalism and resilience, assuring the troops that their sacrifices are acknowledged and appreciated by the military leadership and the nation at large.


During the visit, the GOC also engaged with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and Hybrid Force (HF), urging continuous synergy and cooperation to achieve operational success. He lauded their contributions and encouraged consistent intelligence sharing to support military operations.

In line with the Chief of Army Staff’s “Soldier First” initiative, Brig. Gen. Unachukwu assured the troops of improved logistical support and the provision of essential combat enablers. He personally donated military kits, ammunition, and other logistics items, significantly boosting troop morale.


The visit, which reflects the renewed commitment of the military high command to frontline soldiers, further reinforces the operational drive to restore lasting peace and security to the North East and the country at large.
