BANDITS ABDUCT 23 WOMEN, 10 MEN IN ZAMFARA STATE
No fewer than 23 women were abducted by bandits on 27th July 2023 in a forest near Damaga community in Maradun LGA, Zamfara State.
The information available indicates that the women including young ladies went into the forest to fetch firewood before they were intercepted by a gang of armed men on motorbikes who took them hostage inside the forest.
The bandits have yet to contact their families to demand ransom.
Similarly, the bandits invaded the abode of construction workers at low-cost houses on the outskirts of the town around 0001hr on 26 July 2023 and kidnapped 10 staff of a construction company in Talata Mafara LGA.
Consequently, the bandits were engaged with the security operatives in a gunfight but they later drove the men out of the town.
