BANDITS KILL SIX RESIDENTS AND ABDUCT MANY IN TURETA LGA OF SOKOTO
Reports indicate that bandits have killed six persons and several others in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
Sources say the assailants invaded the community around 2am on Thursday morning. Eons Intelligence gathered that they deceived the unsuspecting members of the community using the Muslim’s call for prayer before launching their ambush.
Several residents were reportedly injured and are currently receiving treatment at a health facility in the state.
Tureta shares a border with Zamfara State where military bombardments in a continuous operation have been taking place.
The area is also affected by the current shutdown of telecommunication networks in the neighboring state.
