BREAKING: BENUE SPEAKER, SON TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Titus Uba, and his son have tested positive for COVID-19.
This comes 24 hours after Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, announced that he has tested positive to the virus.
The development was confirmed in separate statements signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the speaker, and Chairman, Committee on Information and Orientation of the State Assembly, Lubem Tiav and Tertsea Gbiesa respectively.
The Speaker and his son has immediately gone into isolation.
He has also ordered the immediate closure of the Assembly complex and has directed fumigation of the premises.
