BREAKING: IZE-IYAMU EMERGES WINNER OF APC PRIMARY ELECTION
Osagie Ize-Iyamu has emerged the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election in Edo State.
Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the APC Primary election and Governor of Imo State, made this known on Monday, June 22, in Benin City.
Ize-Iyamu won the primary election with 27,838 votes to defeat his rivals, Pius Odubu, who had 3, 776 votes, and Osaro Obaze who had 2,724 votes.
Ize-Iyamu was hereby announced the APC flag bearer for the September 19 Governorship election in the State.
Uzodinma said the election was conducted in accordance with the guidelines imposed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
It was reported that the election held across the 192 wards in 18 Local Government Areas of the State.
