BREAKING: KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT SWEARS IN NEW CHIEF JUDGE

The Kogi State Government has inaugurated Justice Henry Olusuyi as the new Chief Judge of the State.

 

This comes five days after Governor Yahaya Bello approved Olasuyi’s appointment in an acting capacity.

 

The Swearing-in took place on Wednesday, June 8th, 2020, in Lokoja, the State Capital.

 

The new Chief Judge was sworn in at 10.35am after taking his Oath of Allegiance.

 

Recall that Eons Intelligence reported on June 28th, 2020, that the former Chief Judge, Nasir Ajanah, died at the age of 64

 

Similarly, Governor Bello has approved the appointment of Bayo Olowosegun as the acting President of the State’s Customary Court of Appeal.

 

Mr. Olowosegun’s appointment also followed the demise of the former occupant of the office, Shaibu Atadoga, who died on June 22nd.

 

In attendance are Governor Yahaya Bello, the State’s Deputy Governor, Edward Onaja; Speaker of the House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole, and top Government officials.
