BREAKING: LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT DECLARES 24-HOUR CURFEW
The Lagos State Government has declared a 24-hour curfew across the State.
The curfew is to take effect from 4:00 pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
The announcement was made by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday October 20.
Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that only essential service providers and first responders are allowed to be on the streets.
The Governor said the declaration of curfew was due to the violence and security threats arising from the ongoing #EndSARS protest across the State.

He said: "I have watched with shock how what began as a peaceful #EndSARS protest has degenerated into a monster that is threatening the well being of our society.
"Lives and limbs have been lost as criminals and miscreants are now hiding under the umbrella of these protests to unleash mayhem on our State.
"As a government that is alive to its responsibility and has shown a commitment to the movement #ENDSARS, we will not watch and allow anarchy in our dear State."

Recall that Eons Intelligence, on Monday, October 19, reported that Edo State Government also declared a 24-hour curfew across the State following the violence arising from the protest.
