BREAKING: MUHAMMED UMAR APPOINTED NEW ACTING EFCC CHAIRMAN
Muhammed Umar has been appointed as the new acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Before his appointment, Umar was director of operations at the EFCC.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), a top official of the commission confirmed that Umar has taken charge of the agency in the absence of Ibrahim Magu.
Recall that Eons Intelligence reported that Magu was arrested on Monday and moved to the presidential villa in Abuja where he was probed by a panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Magu was consequently suspended as EFCC Chairman on Tuesday, July 7th, 2020.
