BREAKING: THREE COVID-19 PATIENTS DISCHARGED FROM ISOLATION CENTRE IN KANO

Three COVID-19 patients have been announced free from the disease and discharged from the Isolation Centre in Kano State. 



This was disclosed by the technical subcommittee, Kano state Task Force on COVID-19, Tijani Hussaini, on Tuesday, May 5.


The discharged patients were all males. 


Tijani said the three persons were among the 357 active cases in the state as announced by the NCDC on Monday night. 


Kano recorded its index case on April 11. The number of cases in the state has spiked, making the state the second state, after Lagos, with the highest number of confirmed cases in Nigeria. 


According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, on Monday, May 4, Kano recorded 23 news cases, bringing total Confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state to 365 with 8 deaths. 



Earlier, President Muhammadu Buhari imposed a 14 days lockdown on the state as a measure to curtail the spread of Coronavirus. 



The governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje had urged President Muhammadu Buhari to ease lockdown in the state over Ramadan, which Buhari consented.
