CAR TRACKER AIDS UBER DRIVER RECOVER HIS STOLEN VEHICLE

Police Officers, through the help of a car tracker arrested two car thieves who robbed an Uber driver on Sunday.

The thieves were caught sleeping in the stolen car after the preinstalled car tracker disabled the vehicle.

Report says the two criminals ordered for an Uber ride at about 8.40 pm on Sunday, September 20.

When the Uber driver arrived, the two criminals overpowered and robbed him on the way. He was stabbed on the face, and the thieves made away with his car.

Fortunately, he survived the assault and escaped with his small phone which also contained details of his car tracker.

The incident was reported to the Ajah Police Station, and the officers promptly swung the action.

With the aid of the GPS in the car tracker, police were able to locate the car.

Voice recording revealed that the thieves decided to sleep in the car after it stopped working because they believed it ran out of fuel.

The Uber driver is still in the hospital responding to treatment.
