LALIGA RESUMES TODAY WITH THE SEVILLE DERBY CLASH

The Spanish Laliga resumes today after three months with the Seville derby between Sevilla and Real Betis.

110 matches are set to be played in 39 days with clubs playing every three days.

“We can’t wait to return to competing, the derby is going to be played and we all know what it means. We have to respond,” Sevilla coach, Julen Lopetegui, told reporters yesterday.

The derby is set to take place at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium where Sevilla has lost only twice this season.

The Seville derby also called The Great Derby is a fixture known for its intensity and adored by its fans of both clubs, and by football neutrals.

Of the 96 matches, Sevilla has win 45, Betis have won 29, and there have been 22 draws.

Sevilla is 3rd on the Laliga log whilst Real Betis is 12th.
