COVID-19: 12 NEW CASES CONFIRMED IN OSUN

Osun State has recorded 12 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total confirmed cases in the state to 32.

 

This was disclosed in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Ismail Omipidan, on Saturday, 25th April, which states that the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu said the confirmed cases are recorded in Osogbo, Ife, Ede, Ikire and Ejigbo.

 

Osun state which is presently on lockdown, following the decision by the 36 governors of the federation.

 

Speaking further, the Commissioner urged residents of the State to ensure they abide by the stay at home directory as it is a measure to curb the spread of the virus.

 

He also reiterated that the ban on public gatherings remains in force, he added that residents should take the wearing of face mask seriously as it is now compulsory across the state.

 

The state has carried out 167 tests and 12 came out positive. This brings the number of active cases in Osun to 13.
