FAISAL MAINA, SON OF EMBATTLED FORMER PENSION BOSS HAS FLED TO THE US- EFCC
Faisal Maina, the son of Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT) has fled to the United States, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) told the court today.
Mohammed Abubakar, the EFCC prosecutor told Justice Okon Abang that Faisal who is standing trial alongside his father over allegations of money laundering fled to the US through Niger.
He is being accused of operating accounts that were used to make illegal transactions worth N58 million.

Recall the 21-year-old Faisal was apprehended by security operatives on December 9, 2020, after jumping bail since June 24.
Similarly, Justice Abang, in an earlier sitting ordered Faisal’s surety, Sani Dan-Galadima, the lawmaker representing Kaura-Namoda Federal Constituency of Zamfara state, to forfeit a property used as a bail bond.
Faisal was granted a N60 million bail with a surety in like sum who must be a serving member of the House of Representatives.
