FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LAYOFF SENIOR CIVIL SERVANTS WORKERS
No fewer than 500 senior directors in the civil service have been ordered by the Nigerian government to proceed with compulsory retirement.
The circular dated July 27, 2023, signed and issued by the Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan included advice that Permanent Secretaries, the Accountant-General of the Federation, the Auditor-General for the Federation, and Heads of Extra-Ministerial Department to ensure compliance of this compulsory resignation.
The information available indicates that the Public Service Rule (PSR) has been revised and therefore unveiled the compliance of individuals in the government sectors.
Meanwhile, the implementation of the PSR commenced after it was unveiled at the public service lecture held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
