KIDNAPPERS RELEASE EX-NASARAWA DEPUTY GOV AFTER N4MILLION RANSOM

The abducted former deputy governor of Nasarawa State, Prof Onje Gye-Wado, has been released on Sunday night after payment of four million ransom.


EONS INTELLIGENCE had reported that the former deputy governor was kidnapped Thursday night in his country home of Rinza in Wamba local government area of the state.

Information available indicates that his abductors had initially demanded N70million as condition for his release but his family members begged that the sum be reduced to N2 million.


Afterward, the family members raised the sum to N3.5million but both parties arrived at four million Naira which was paid before his release.
