POLICE UNCOVER PLANNED PROTEST BY SOME OFFICERS OVER NON-PAYMENT OF 6 MONTHS SALARY
The Nigerian Police has uncovered plans by some police officers to carry out a protest on misinformation on non-payment of salary (January - June 2022) in Lagos.
The Police leadership says the arrears had been made for all Constables and unconfirmed Inspectors as the fund released by FG can't pay all personnel.
The IGP further ordered that the payment of arrears should be paid to Constables upward and personnel should be assured that all payment will be effected as soon as the fund is released by the Federal Government, the IGP directs that heads of commands and formation make this a subject to lecture their men on as any form of protest will be construed as a mutiny.
