NIGERIA’S CORONAVIRUS CASES RISE TO 142,578 AS NCDC CONFIRMS 1,131 MORE INFECTIONS, 8 DEATHS
Nigeria's COVID-19 cases have increased to 142,578 as the NCDC announced 1,131 more infections on Tuesday, 10th February 2021.
Of the 1,131 Infections, 297 were discovered in Lagos, 194 in the Federal Capital Territory, and 83 in Kaduna States with 8 additional deaths.
Nigeria has so far recorded 116, 947 recoveries and 1,702 deaths from COVID-19. Meanwhile 1,398,630
persons have been tested across the 36 States and the FCT.

Below are the number of cases and the other States affected according to Tuesday's NCDC report: Kano-59, Oyo-58, Taraba-53, Imo-52, Osun-47
Plateau-45, Edo-43, Akwa Ibom-42, Rivers-42, Ogun-29, Kwara-24, Benue-21, Nasarawa-16, Ekiti-7
Bauchi-6, Delta-6, Bayelsa-4, Sokoto-2 and Gombe-1.
"Our discharges today include 773 community recoveries in Lagos State and 66 community recoveries in Imo State managed in line with guidelines," NCDC said.
Lagos State being the epicenter of the infection in Nigeria has been topping the chart since the emergence of the virus in March 2020.
The country's commercial hub has recorded 52,282 cases, followed by the Federal Capital Territory with 18,168 cases and 8,475 cases in Plateau State.
The South West State has so far made 47,244 discharges and recorded 352 deaths.
