FG EVACUATES 68 STRANDED GIRLS FROM LEBANON

The Federal Government has evacuated 68 Nigerian girls stranded in Lebanon due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


This comes after a viral video surfaced on the internet where some girls cried out to the Nigerian Government to facilitate their return home.


This was announced on the official Twitter handle of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).


The evacuees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Sunday, August 16th, 2020.


The evacuees upon their arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport took COVID-19 tests and it came out negative.


They are now expected to self-isolate for 14 days according to the COVID-19 protocols directed by the PTF on COVID-19 and the NCDC.
