FIVE MORE STUDENTS ABDUCTED FROM FEDERAL COLLEGE OF FORESTRY MECHANISATION IN KADUNA REGAIN FREEDOM
Five more students abducted from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna state have regained their freedom.
The development comes hours after the Kaduna State Government handed five students who were released on Monday to their parents.
The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the development in a statement on Thursday night.
He added that the State Government would continue to work assiduously towards the safe return of the remaining students in the kidnappers' den
He said; “The Kaduna state government shares deeply in the pain and distress experienced by the parents and families of all the hostages in this difficult time,” he had said.
“As such, the government will continue to work towards the safe return of the students in captivity.”
Recall, on March 12, Eons Intelligence reported that gunmen invaded the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, AFAKA, Kaduna State, and abducted about 39 students.
As of Friday April 9, 2021, ten students have been released while 28 are still in captivity.
