FOUR DIE, FOUR INJURED IN MULTIPLE CAR CRASH IN ANAMBRA
About four persons have died while four others sustained severe injuries in a multiple car crash in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra, Kamal Musa, confirmed the incident in a statement on Monday, September 28, 2020.
He said the incident happened around 11.30am on Monday morning near a slaughterhouse close to Obosi police station, along the Onitsha – Owerri road.
The spokesperson revealed that the accident was as a result of break failure and loss of control involving a red 911 M/Benz with registration number JJT 168 XG, a Toyota Camry car with registration number FST 122 DQ, and a white Toyota bus belonging to Izuchukwu Motors with registration number ABN 430 YN.
Musa said the injured victims include two male adults and two female adults, and stated that they are currently receiving treatment at Unit Hospital Obosi.
He added that the corpses of the deceased have been deposited at the mortuary after they were confirmed dead by doctors at Unit Hospital, Obosi.
The spokesperson urged all motorists to ensure their vehicles meet the minimum safety standards before putting it on the road to avoid accidents.
