Three people have been injured in a gas explosion that occurred in the Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun state on Monday.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at Folagbade Road in Ijebu-Ode and was caused by a passenger’s gas cylinder riding on a commercial tricycle.

An eyewitness revealed that the tricycle rider parked by the roadside when the cylinder owner discovered gas was leaking from the cylinder.

Mr Akinbiyi further revealed that the occupants of the tricycle suffered severe burnt injuries, but he didn't disclose if anyone died in the explosion or not.
