Gunmen have abducted a Principal, Joshua Adeyemi, his Vice, lfedayo Yesufu and three other teachers along Auga-Ise road in Akoko North East council area of Ondo state.

Adeyemi is the Principal of Auga Community Grammar School while lfedayo  Yesufu is his Vice.

The three abducted teachers also of same school include, Oloyede Bukola, Adagunodo Funmilayo and Blessing Okeke.

The victims were kidnapped on Thursday afternoon while they were travelling in a Blue Toyota Corolla car belonging to the school Principal along the Auga-Ise road in Akoko North East council area of the State.

One of the victims, Blessing Okeke, was however released after the gunmen discovered that she was pregnant.

The Divisional Police Officer for Ikare division, Oladutoye Akinwan, said detectives have been deployed to comb the forest in a bid to secure the release of the victims.

There has been a surge in insecurity in Ondo State in recent weeks. On Tuesday, Eons Intelligence reported that Gunmen kidnapped the Eze Ndigbo of Ifon with the assailants also robbing him of his money.

Recall, last week, three butchers were kidnapped at Akure North LGA of the State with their corpses recovered from a forest three days after.

Two weeks ago, Amotekun operatives arrested a kidnap-syndicate in Ondo and recovered over 500 pieces of dagger alongside other ammunition from the gunmen.
