GUNMEN KIDNAP COUPLE, TWO OTHERS IN ONDO

Unknown gunmen on Tuesday abducted a couple and two other persons at Uso community in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.  


The couple was kidnapped while travelling with their three children when the kidnappers barricaded the road and abducted them, leaving their children behind.


It was learnt that the criminals locked the doors of the vehicle after matching the couple into a nearby bush.

Similarly, one 35-year-old Olatunbosun Johnson and a yet to be identified Hausa man, who works as a labourer were abducted on a farm within the community.


Report says the victims were kidnapped while searching for sand to fill a building in the community.


Confirming the abduction, the Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro noted that the three children of the couple have been taken away by the relatives of the couple.


Ikoro stated that the State police command has launched a manhunt operation to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
